Troubleshooting
Contact details are missing after scanning the QR code
Scan the QR code again and review the result before saving the contact. This shows whether the detail is missing from the QR code or only after the contact app saves it.
Check the card type
A contact card stores contact details directly in its QR code. A LinkedIn Profile Card stores a link to a LinkedIn profile instead. If the scan only opens LinkedIn, that is the expected result for a LinkedIn Profile Card.
Check the saved contact details
- Open the affected card from your account or through its edit link.
- Check whether the missing field is saved on the card. Empty fields are not included in the QR code.
- If a website is missing, check that it contains a valid web address. Invalid or unsupported web addresses are not added to the contact details.
- For an Editable Card, click Save changes.
You cannot change a fixed card after purchase.
Scan the current Wallet pass
Saving an Editable Card updates its QR code. Scan the QR code from the current Wallet pass, not an old screenshot or earlier preview.
If the Wallet pass still shows old information, follow Wallet pass can't be added or isn't updating.
Compare the scan result with the saved contact
If the detail appears in the scan preview but disappears after saving, the contact app on the scanning device did not retain it. Check sections for additional phone numbers, websites, notes, or social profiles in that app.
If details are still missing
Contact support. Include the missing field, card type, phone used for scanning, and whether the field is already missing from the scan preview. If needed, attach a screenshot without private contact details.
