How do you create your QR code?

Name, company, phone and email are enough to start. Address, website and LinkedIn are optional. The fewer fields you fill, the coarser the pattern gets, and the easier a camera reads it.
2. Check the preview

3. Download and put it to work
Use the SVG file for print, because it stays sharp at any size. PNG is fine for screens and email. Then place the code wherever the person in front of you will see it.

What is a QR code business card?

Frequently asked questions about QR code business cards
Is the generator really free?
Yes. You create the QR code and download it as a PNG or SVG without paying and without signing up. The digital business card for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet is separate: a paid product, for a one-time payment and no subscription.
Does the other person need an app to scan the code?
No. On current iPhones and Android phones the normal camera recognises QR codes on its own. The other person opens the camera, points it at the code and taps the prompt. Nothing to install.
Does the QR code work without internet?
Yes. Your contact details sit inside the pattern of the code itself, not on a server. So the scan needs no connection. That's exactly what helps at trade shows, where the mobile network is often congested.
Can I change the data in the code later?
Not in this image file. The code is a fixed pattern. If your number changes, generate a new code here and replace the old one everywhere. To avoid that, use the Editable Card in your wallet instead.
Which file should I use for print?
Use the SVG file. It's built from curves rather than pixels, so it stays sharp at any size, including on a business card. PNG suits screens, email signatures and slides.
How large should the code be on paper?
Two centimetres along each edge has proven a reliable minimum in practice, with some white space around it. Print one test copy before the full run and scan it yourself. Five minutes there saves you a wasted order.
Do you store my contact details?
No. The generator runs entirely in your browser, and what you type never leaves your device. We don't see it, and nothing is stored. Close the tab and the form is empty again.
