# Create digital business cards with templates without an account

A template lets you create several cards with the same style without setting up an account. The template is available only in the browser where you create it.

## Create a template

1. Open [Your templates](https://www.digicard.pro/generator/templates).
2. Click **Create template**.
3. Enter a name in **Template name**. This name does not appear on the finished cards.
4. Choose **Contact Card** or **LinkedIn Profile Card**. You cannot change the card type after creating the template.
5. Enter shared values such as organization, website, address, logo, and colors. Leave personal fields empty when they should be completed separately on each card.
6. Set the rule for each field:
   - A filled, unlocked field is a default that can be overridden on an individual card.
   - Turn on **Lock field** when the value must not be changed on cards.
   - Turn on **Disable** for an empty field when it should not be available while creating cards.
7. Click **Create template**.

## Create cards from the template

1. Open the template and click **Create card**.
2. Enter the person's details. Template values are already filled in. Locked and disabled fields do not appear in the card form.
3. Click **Add to cart & create another** to add the card to the cart and immediately start the next one.
4. Repeat these steps for each additional person.
5. On the final card, click **Create Digital Business Card**.
6. Review the cart, set each card to fixed or editable, and complete the order.

## Limits of template access without an account

- You can only reopen the template in this browser. It is unavailable after you clear the browser data or switch to another device.
- An unused template is deleted automatically after 90 days. The template page shows the current cleanup date. Saving the template or successfully creating a card from it starts the 90-day period again.
- Purchased cards remain independent. Changes to the template are not applied to them.
- This workflow does not support Excel or CSV import. Use [card groups with an account](https://www.digicard.pro/help/create-digital-business-cards-with-card-groups/index.md) instead.

If you sign in later in the same browser, the template appears under **Templates** in **Card groups**. Click **Claim as card group** to create a new card group from it in your account. The original template and its saved browser access are then deleted. Cards already created from the template remain independent.
